One of the most visited destinations in the country, people flock to the balmy South Atlantic coast of South Carolina for its subtropical climate, its long wide sandy beaches, its collection of excellent restaurants, its many golf courses, its outlet shopping and the lively and fun atmosphere.
If you want to stay in some of the best hotels in the area, from boutique-style accommodation to sleek and modern resorts, here are cool and unusual hotels to stay in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (in no particular order)…
1. North Beach Resort and Villas – one of the most Instagrammable resorts in Myrtle Beach
The North Beach Resort & Villas in North Myrtle Beach is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a unique experience away from home with positive sentiments for Myrtle Beach.
This beachfront resort not only gives easy access to South Carolina’s sandy beaches but also offers a variety of accommodations and amenities for groups of all kinds.
Guests may book their stay in North Beach Towers, which has 18 floors of beachfront condos, while those looking for a more private choice can look into Cottages at North Beach, which has cottages with one to five bedrooms.
The resort also has several on-site amenities, such as the Beach Fit fitness center, where guests can work out before going out. After working up a sweat, visitors may schedule a treatment appointment at The Cinzia Spa or cool down in the ocean or sunbathe in one of the pools: a big Caribbean-themed pool, indoor pools, outdoor pools, a lazy river, or a swim-up bar.

The hotel also provides a free continental breakfast with pastries, fruit, cereal, coffee, juice, and other items. Guests also rave about the seafood and pasta meals served at Costa Coastal Kitchen and Bar next door.

7. Marina Inn at Grande Dunes – an upscale hotel where guests can benefit from amazing amenities
Marina Inn at Grande Dunes is part of the 2200-acre Grande Dunes Resort between North and South Myrtle Beach. Its classically gorgeous and old-fashioned design has garnered outstanding reviews, making it a wonderful holiday spot for singles, families, and business people.
The Marina Inn in Grande Dunes has 200 big and luxurious rooms. The design of the rooms has a Mediterranean flavor, with earth tones of burned oranges, deep browns, and neutral beige. Patterned vinyl flooring, wooden furniture, white linens with orange accents, and nature-themed artwork are all included in the rooms.
The rooms are spacious with separate bedrooms, one, two, three, or four bedrooms, and living/dining spaces with bigger kitchenettes are offered for families. All rooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, microwaves, tea and coffee-making facilities, vanities, work tables, telephones, safes, irons and ironing boards, and free WiFi.
The two and three-bedroom suites include washers and dryers. Bathrooms have walk-in showers, Travertine tiled walls, hairdryers, soaking tubs, and Tommy Bahama amenities. Bathrobes are also provided. All rooms offer furnished balconies with views of the marina, golf course, or waterway.
The hotel features three food options: Waterscapes, which serves fresh, local food; Reflections, which serves drinks and light snacks in the lobby; and Anchor Cafe, where you can eat casually and watch the sunset. Breakfast is served a la carte every day at Waterscapes, but it is not included in the price of a room. You can get room service.

The daily resort charge, which varies according to accommodation pricing, includes WiFi, on-site parking, and valet services.
A seasonal kids’ activity program, childcare facilities, in-room spa services, a 24-hour business center, a concierge, and a gift store are all available.
8. Ocean 22, a Hilton Grand Vacations – an upscale beachfront resort that offers free access to water parks and golf
If you’re looking for a great beach resort, go beyond Ocean 22, a Hilton Grand Vacations property. This hotel was built with the idea that guests will get the perks of staying in a hotel while still having home comforts.
The hotel offers large one, two, and three-bedroom suites. The decor is slick and modern, and although the interiors are somewhat chainlike, they are comfortable and full of natural light owing to enormous windows.
Neutral color palettes are combined with subtle turquoise and green tones that match the hardwood flooring, but flashes of color from images on the walls, sofas, and cushions bring liveliness.
All units have separate living rooms with sofa beds as well as furnished balconies, many with beautiful ocean views. All also have full kitchens decked out with stainless steel appliances, including dishwashers, full fridges, microwaves, and stoves with ovens.
Coffeemakers, toasters, and all cooking and dishes are provided. Other standard amenities include washers and dryers; all suites come with flat-screen TVs, DVD players, safes, and free WiFi. Bathrooms are sleek, spacious, and attractive, featuring double sink vanities, illuminated mirrors, soaking tubs, and separate walk-in showers.
One of the attractions is the charming outdoor pool, which has a beautiful pool deck with potted plants and lots of loungers and gives excellent views of the beach. It is next to a similarly lovely indoor pool in a partly open-air construction and a hot tub. There’s also a sunbathing area with loungers right next to the outdoor pool and a seasonal poolside bar.
The fitness center has a good number and range of cardio and strength training equipment, and a wall of windows makes it seem light and spacious. Guests may get complimentary earphones at the front desk.
The hotel needs a complete restaurant, but it does boast a charming lobby bar and a daily happy hour. The store also offers snacks and sundries, including sandwiches, paninis, pizzas, and Starbucks coffee. Breakfast products are available for purchase here. However, there needs to be a complete breakfast or buffet.
Other features include a business center and a large games section for youngsters with toys, games, TVs, and laptops.
9. Ocean Escape Condos by Landmark Resort – a trendy aparthotel to stay in Myrtle Beach, perfect for Millennials and Gen Zs
If you’re looking for a modern option for your Myrtle Beach vacation, look no further than our Ocean View 3 Bedroom Condo at Ocean Escape Condos, located on the second row on Ocean Boulevard. Each condo is lavishly designed and equipped with numerous amenities.
This 1,538-square-foot condo sleeps up to ten people and is ideal for any family. The first bedroom has a king bed and a balcony with a view of the boulevard, suitable for the parents, while the second bedroom has two full beds and a second balcony, and a third open-concept bedroom has a queen bed.
The large living room has a queen sleeper sofa and plenty of seating. Large windows provide a view of the boulevard and beyond. There are two and a half bathrooms, with a double vanity and shower in the first, a shower/tub combo in the second, and an additional half bath. 10. Sheraton Myrtle Beach – a modern hotel where guests can relax in spacious rooms and appreciate ocean views
The Sheraton Myrtle Beach is the ideal combination of modern hotel and comfort like you are used to. This particular hotel is found in downtown Myrtle Beach and is not far (just two blocks) from the boardwalk, one of the most scenic spots in the entire area.
The rooms are decorated in creams, beiges, and browns in a modern design. The accommodation amenities include a flat-screen television, free WiFi, and complimentary bottled water. The bathrooms are simple, with granite sinks and shower/tub combinations.
Le Grand Bain supplies toiletries and hair dryers. Only the Hospitality Suites have balconies, but other rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows that provide lots of natural light and, on occasion, ocean views.
If you are planning an event or a business conference, the hotel has five completely equipped meeting and event rooms and a huge business center with computers and printers. A Club Lounge also provides a private working environment with complimentary WI-FI, hot and cold breakfast, snacks, and beverages. Upper-level rooms may be accessed.
The hotel also features an indoor pool with a wide solarium deck packed with loungers. Although no spa exists, the fitness center features a good selection of LifeFitness cardio equipment, yoga mats, and free weights.
Guests may start their day with coffee from the coffee shop or a paid cooked breakfast in the Southern restaurant, which also offers lunch and supper. Throughout the day, a bar serves light meals and beverages. A modest gift store, free WiFi, and paid self- and valet parking are also available.
